Freie Szene Tage - The Berlin Days of the Independent Performing Arts Community
September 10 to 21, 2025

Freie Szene Tage (the Berlin Days of the Independent Performing Arts Community) is an annual campaign that is created jointly by the community and coordinated by the Berlin Performing Arts Program.

For the season opening in September, the audience is invited to discover the Berlin Independent Performing Arts Community from unusual perspectives. The program mainly consists of open formats, such as venue tours, rehearsal visits, workshops, open house events, participatory art in public spaces, presentations of neighborhood projects, and much more. The calendar of the Berlin Days of the Independent Performing Arts Community highlights accessible offerings for specific performances, including audio descriptions, touch tours, relaxed performances, translations, and childcare.

Whether on the big stage, in living room theaters, dance studios, industrial wastelands, allotment gardens, community centers, schools, or in circus tents: The community-wide campaign places the focus on the locations of the Independent Performing Arts Community as places of encounter and movement, as places of exchange and societal transformation.

The next edition will take place from September 10 to 21, 2025.
